Vienna. Also known as the Dominican Church. Italian Baroque style with a barrel-vaulted ceiling. This is the 3rd church on the site, built between 1631 and 1634, after the first 2 burned down. Built by Italian craftsmen and artists, it’s unique design has six side chapels each dedicated to a saint, each portrayed in the paintings above the altars. It was truly breathtaking, we actually gasped when we entered, as the exterior does not give a hint about the inner beauty.
