Vienna. Our 2nd coffee in Vienna, and it turned out to be our favorite. Actually, all the coffee in Vienna is fantastic, but the people at this shop really loved perfecting their brew. The manager told us they prided themselves on not burning the beans, like most Austrian coffee roasters. Great cakes too, more posts to follow. Very cool interior, we tried to capture all of it during our many visits. Decor was fun, chandeliers with espresso cups, and the wall treatment in the front was all white espresso cups fitted with lights. We loved their philosophy for a coffee house posted on 2 signs hanging nearby…”No, we don’t have wifi. Please talk to each other”; and “Life is too short for bad coffee”. We shared a nut roll, an almond croissant and a slice of Esterházy cake, a hungarian specialty with layers of walnut or almond sponge cake, between a layers of buttercream with vanilla.
