We strolled to the Fish Market via a few well know sights: the Grand Mosque, Al Diwan Al Amira (the Emir of Kuwait’s residence) and Seif Palace. Seif Palace got hit by one of Saddam’s bombs and here’s an interesting fact from Wikipedia: “The tower of the Seif Palace received a direct hit from an incoming missile during the 1990–91 Gulf War which destroyed the dial room. Smith of Derby (a county in the UK) replaced the iconic clock, and were the only non-US company to be awarded a contract in this reconstructive period.”
I wanted to go into the Mosque but Kathy refused to identify as a man (I brand her not a team player) anyway it was shut because we were too early.
